The youth entries are among the most entertaining part of the Rotary River Rally, and we love to have them. Their teachers and sponsors tell us that building and racing a cardboard boat is a rewarding experience that students look forward to year after year. We at the event really like to hear that because helping Arizona's children is what we're in it for.
How can I get involved?
This year you can be a part of that experience by sponsoring a youth or school entry. This tax deductible donation lets us keep the entry fee low for our student boat builders, while raising money for children's charities. The students will build and race the boat and display the name of your company, family, or group on the boat. You can sponsor your own school or group, or ask the Rotary River Rally to find a group that needs a sponsor.
We encourage you to talk with the adult leaders of your sponsored team to see what other ways you can get involved with your team. This could range from participating in the boat building, providing suppiles or t-shirts for the team, or bringing the snacks the day of the race.
